CordStat named a "Best New Product for Pediatricians" by Contemporary Pediatrics

DES PLAINES, Ill. (December 16, 2010) - Contemporary Pediatrics recognized CordStat® as one of 2010's "best new products for pediatricians" in their December 2010 issue. Sharing the honor with technologies such as the Apple iPad, United States Drug Testing Laboratories (USDTL) is proud to be awarded for its innovative services in newborn drug testing.

USDTL created CordStat® in response to the limitations of meconium testing.  Many newborns fail to produce enough meconium, if any at all, for a sufficient sample volume.  Umbilical cord is always available at the time of birth and offers a similar detection window of 20 weeks.  CordStat® is available in 5-, 7-, 9- and 12-drug panels with an additional buprenorphine option.

Contemporary Pediatrics reports over 80 hospitals have converted to umbilical cord testing from meconium testing, and USDTL is determined to continue providing innovative testing solutions for current and potential clients.

USDTL thanks all their clients for their continued support and Contemporary Pediatrics for their recognition.  To find out more, please visit www.usdtl.com.
